A Lifetime of Service & Leadership
Fred Strampe is a former Waukesha County Judge, U.S. Army veteran, and experienced attorney with over 25 years in the legal field. He’s running for Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 6, to bring leadership back to the bench and protect our community.
Fred’s commitment to service began at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated with honors. As an Infantry Officer, he led platoons in Germany and managed operations for over 150 soldiers—developing the discipline and leadership that continue to guide him today.
After earning his law degree from the University of Wisconsin, Fred built a respected career in civil litigation, handling complex cases and later serving as President of his law firm.
Fred is ready to return to the bench—committed to the rule of law and protecting our community. As a veteran, he understands the unique challenges service members face after returning home. That’s why one of his top priorities is establishing a Veterans Treatment Court in Waukesha County. With nearly 20,000 veterans living here and no such court in place, it’s time we honor their service to our country with the support and accountability they’ve earned. Fred will ensure those who served get the help they need—while upholding justice and keeping our community safe.

Experience Matters
Fred Strampe served as Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge in 2023, where he handled more than 600 criminal cases, numerous trials, and over 3,000 hearings. He is the only candidate in this race with judicial experience, bringing firsthand knowledge of courtroom procedure and a proven ability to apply the law fairly and effectively.
Fred earned the respect of attorneys, litigants, and court staff for his steady leadership and strong work ethic. With a deep understanding of the law and a firm commitment to justice, Fred is ready to return to the bench and continue serving the people of Waukesha County.
